I have appeared on screen to talk about artifacts and give humorous insights into historical periods and people. I have appeared on BBC's Bargain Hunt, Living TV's Derek Acorah's Ghost Townsand L!ve TV's Buildings with a Story.

Movies

Moviegoers are becoming ever more demanding of historical accuracy. As with TV and stage work, I can help ensure accuracy of costumes, scenery, props, language and content. I can provide a full, bespoke service whether you need an initial view on the accuracy of a proposal, detailed advice on costumes, props and scenery or to have a script read through.

Most notably I advised on the chariot race scene of Timur Bekmambetov's epic Ben Hur.

Museums

Museums are under increasing financial pressures. I can offer a cost-effective service to give advice on temporary displays, artifacts and projects. Most recently I staged an exhibition in the European Parliament concerning war memorial design across Europe.

Landscapes and Buildings

Having sat on the Planning Committee of a unitary authority, I am aware of the many requirements of Section 106 compliance. I can provide advice on how to respect the history of a site and provide features to engage the public without adversely impacting the development potential of a site. I have a particular knowledge of battlefields and heritage landscapes and can offer advice on how to maximise public understanding of an area.

House Histories

A personal house history book really brings the story of your home to life. In partnership with a professional photographer to produce wonderful pictures of your house as it is today, I can offer a range of products to suit all pockets from simple timeline to full narrative history book.

Estate Agents

Potential buyers and tenants place value on a home with an interesting story. I will use bring the history of your asset to life, and can assist with creating a brochure, webpage or short video so that you can share your property's story with clients.
